Ford nine-inch drop out center section ( gear set ). Set up with a cleaned, used third member. New parts include all bearings, full spool, gear set with ratio of your choice, crush sleeve, seal, and reusable gasket. Comes complete ready to paint or just bolt in. Price is $475.00 plus shipping. We allow $25.00 for a good usable core. Sorry, only one core per drop out.




We have a limited supply of used gear sets with 3:50 ratio. These third members are cleaned, bearings replaced only if needed, set up with a new premium 31 spline mini spool, new hard cross pin, and new pinion seal. Ready to bolt in and use. Price is $250.00 with stock cross yolk or $300.00 with “CV” yolk option, plus shipping. No core required.


This is a picture of constant velocity (CV) yolk. These fit Ford 9” pinion shafts. Machined to accept a stock 71’ – 76’ GM sedan drive shaft with CV joint. We can set up a third member for you with this yolk. Sold outright for $50.00 or will exchange for $15.00. Plus shipping.


This is a picture of a full spool. This custom full spool will fit in a GM, 8.5” ring gear (10 bolt) housing. These brand new spools are heat-treated alloy steel and are as good as they get. This spool will accept 31 spline axle shafts. This spool is a “4” series carrier that will accept GM 8.5” ring gears from 3:08 to 5:57 ratio. With this spool, you may bolt on the 10 bolt gears you have now, and then bolt in the “good” 31 spline GM (12 bolt) axle shafts in a stock GM 10 bolt housing that had bolt in axle shafts. This is an economical alternative to the Ford 9” hybrid housing, if you already have the gears. Bearings are available locally. Price is $180.00 plus shipping.
